My desk is often cluttered, and I try to arrange it once a week. I like spreading my work around me, even on the floor. If I get an idea, I sketch it and sometimes leave it. I return the next day and re-look at it, make changes, and let it evolve. I find myself multitasking on more than one idea at a time too. I have tons of pens and markers; my tools are so important, I am very “old school,” I am learning to draw in 3-D, etc., but I miss using my hand for the connection to my brain, that is how I was trained. I have a wall of inspirational photos and tons of family photos on my desk. I call it organised chaos… 🙂 and there is always a coffee!

Below is my favorite designer Yves Saint Laurent’s desk. A creative inspiration, he was above all one of the most creative forces in fashion, and well organised.

How about yours?
